Whether it’s a healthy meal or a good book, there are so many daily habits we create that ultimately help us through life and can contribute to our happiness. What is happiness? Well, for each of us it is an outcome of an accumulation of our habits. From Aura Avenue’s perspective, we believe happiness is a lifestyle. Deliberately choosing to be positive and happy each day can help you achieve the life you want. We continue to grow as individuals with age, experience and knowledge that gets passed onto us over time. Below are some of the best pieces of advice we’ve received and added to our daily habits to create the outcome in life that we desire.

Practice Balance – Balance in life is key. Your priorities will set your scale on how much is too much or how little is not enough. Sometimes less is more right? Stick to your priorities – balance doesn’t mean giving every part of your life an equal amount of time or energy. Assess each part of your life and you will be able to identify where you can invest more time and focus and what to let go of.
Show Gratitude – Be thankful. It’s so easy to get caught up in the Joneses and pick apart your life without counting the blessings. Health, relationships, family, access to water and food. We have so much more than half the world could ever imagine just by living here in the U.S.A. Wake up every day with a heart full of gratitude and it will ripple effect into every part of your life.
Pray & Meditate – Take time to reflect and listen to your soul. If you feel like you are moving too fast slow down and give that time to you & God to get back to your inner self. Create that time and space that will eventually become habitual and a place that positive energy will grow and negativity will cease to exist.
Build your Tribe – Don’t let a bad apple ruin the whole bushel. Sometimes we let others bring us down just by association or guilt trip into feeling obligated to be around someone. We are all leading our own lives and are in our own chapters! Don’t ever feel bad for putting distance between you and others who don’t reflect the same positivity, goals or energy that you bring to the table.
Have Goals – WRITE THEM DOWN! If you can dream it you can do it. It all starts with a step in the right direction. When you have your goals in mind you will be able to better forecast how to reach them and continue to make new goals and dreams come alive.
Be Nice – Share kindness through your words, your actions and your attitude. Acts of service is one of the most common love languages. Opening the door and being polite can literally radiate positivity into someones world. Being nice shouldn’t be a task, it should be a habit that is instilled and part of your character if you want be happy and share happiness.
Stay Humble – Humility is defined as the quality or state of not thinking you are better than someone but we believe it is so much deeper than that. Being humble is something deep within that keeps you from comparing, judging or pitying any other walk of life. We are all in this beautiful world and each given an individual purpose by God to live out and manifest his will. When you are proud or when you think yourself better (or less) of others it inhibits you to do what He created you to. Trust your own walk and reflect gratitude by living each day for YOUR purpose. Not to impress, indulge or be proud, but to connect your spirit with the reason you were created.
