Theres so much talk about coconut oil, grapeseed oil, flax oil, fish oil, holy oil, you name it. Do not heat this one, only use this one for salad, put this one on your face and so on. Well we got all greased up for you over here and want to share what we learned.
- OMEGA 3’s and 6’s. It is easy to get out of balance on these. Simply, one extra handful of almonds or nut butter can send your Omega 6’s into an unhealthy overdrive. When Omega 6’s are out of balance, a lot tends to go with it. Which came first? Well we are not sure, but we know how to balance them.
Focusing on getting in MORE of Omega 3’s will make sure to keep the Omega 6’s in check. The best and easiest way to do this is by taking a fish and flax supplement. You can take a combined one or take one or the other. Personally I, ( Ivy) I freeze mine ( Cod liver Oil) and take those on an empty stomach to get the Omega 3’s right where I want them to go. You can also get more Omega 3’s through fatty fish or flax seeds and flax oil. Capsules are the easiest way to continual set habits for us and a changing schedule.
- SKIN. Now, there has been a lot of talk about greasin’ up the locks but what about our skin? Chelse and I love to put c
oconut oil on. The benefits of coconut oil are unreal. It is natural, it smells amazing and most of all, it is OK for our skin to absorb it. Our skin is our largest organ, it is important to be cautious of what we put near it. We are not perfect but we certainly try to be cautious. We are currently loving Nohona products which are made right here in So Cal. Whatever you are putting on your skin, be aware of its contents.
- HAIR. We LO
VE avocado oil for our hair, eyebrows and lashes. We found a wonderful brand here at our local Fullerton Farmers Market that we can not get enough of. Putting it on our eyebrows and lashes before bed keeps them healthy, thick and growing. We also put it on the ends of our hair just out the shower. The smell of this is minimal and the feel of our hair is out of this world. As we said with skin, our hair is still part of our body, so what we put on it should be equally important to what we put inside our bodies. What is your favorite oil or product? We want to hear from you!
XOXO
