1. TRADER JOE’S EVERYTHING.
Still can’t believe I never knew about this magical isle in TJ’s until now. I randomly picked up a Vitamin C Antioxidant Serum at Trader Joe’s a month ago and was amazed it was on $9 and had all of the same ingredients as my normal routine’s Dermatologist bought product that was $50. Since then my skin has become more smooth and I swear my wrinkles are diminishing or at least appearing finer/smaller. Not trying to complicate your routine, but if you apply an antioxidant serum under your SPF each day it’s worth it! In addition to UVA and UVB ray, IRAs (infrared rays) come from our sun exposure too. IRAs over a long period of time break down firming collagen proteins and produce skin-cell-harming free radicals. Antioxidants can help diminish IRA damage and deactivate the free radicals missed by SPF.
I have now fully re-booted my entire night routine with everything Trader Joe’s: Face Wash, Cleansing Pads, Antioxidant Face Moisturizer and the Antioxidant Serum. My skin has literally has not looked or felt this good in over 10 years (since high school really). Oh, and the whole package cost me less than $25. I am a completely changed woman and I will forever be a loyal fan and customer to TRADER JOE’S!!!!
Keep your eye out for this product to hit the market soon. L’Oréal unveiled My UV Patch for La Roche-Posay at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2016. It is the first-ever stretchable skin sensor designed to monitor UV exposure and help consumers educate themselves about sun protection.
The new technology arrives at a time when sun exposure has become a major health issue, with 90% of nonmelanoma skin cancers being associated with exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sun* in addition to attributing to skin pigmentation and photoaging.

5. Trader Joe’s Honey Mango Shave Moisturizing Cream
Another great find at Trader Joe’s. Mousture + hydrate + clean shave. This is a triple whammy. Feels like a thick conditioner rather than a foamy mess. The formula is spiked with aloe and vitamin E, and gives a smooth, nonirritating shave and smells like a tropical vacation. What’s not to love!!!?
*I shared this message in our first beauty products post but I will share it again… You have to keep in mind what you are putting on your skin!!! Harsh soaps, shaving creams and body washes mess up your pH levels, cause skin damage and even can lower your immune system. Not to mention fragrance being chemicals you are putting STRAIGHT into your body via your pores! Avoid fragrances at costs unless they are natural from essential oils or herbs! Always use products that you research and find do not harm the good things already in/on your skin!*
Anyone over finding cellulite on their bum and thighs? I know I am! Yes, I am skinny and I fully know that, but I feel like I need to shout it at some women – WE ALL GET CELLULITE – no matter how skinny or curvy we are – it comes in all sizes. A combo of winter, bikinis getting smaller and being extra white at this time of the year, we all notice the little dimples on our bums. Along with toning exercises that can strengthen and expand muscles, tightening connective tissues and shrinking fat cells – there are a few other key tricks to help make cellulite dimples less apparent.
To keep bikini season year round, we recommend adding donkey kicks to your workout routine. When you shower, boost circulation with a coffee scrub like Franks. Apply it on its own or rub it in with a brush. The instant puffing effect makes divots less obvious and gives the skin a nice glow as your blood flow gets moving.
This brand is still a great obsession. I’ve been using it for over 6 months now and have completely experienced a new head of hair that is unharmed or damaged from all of the blow drying, curling, bleaching and brushing out knots after surfing, hiking or riding with the top down. I am currently loving their Euforastyle Illuminate mist and Euforastyle Elevate spray. The majority of hair products use water as their base but Eufora uses certified organic Aloe Vera as its base. Aloe contains elements that are essential for cellular healing, renewal and growth including 75 nutrients, 20 minerals and 12 vitamins. Eufora also uses PURE essential oils to fragrance all of their products. They are sold exclusively in professional salons. You can find one near you on their website and more valuable information on the product.
Where to purchase: Look on websites for each product but Trader Joe’s, Ulta, Amazon, Whole Foods and Salon Zinnia (professional hair salon) are where I have purchased my own!
FYI: This is a non-sponsored post! Aura Avenue is not sponsored nor an ambassador for any of the products/brands listed. This is written with love and appreciation to our own preferences for our well nourished bodies!
